Yes I did get Maclin very late and I did draft Eli Manning who was a steal but I could have done more!

This year I wasn’t following some stupid magazine and curbing it based on “average draft position” no, I was paying attention.
There are a number of things you can do to get a big edge

1)Pay attention to what high stakes players are doing. Peyton Manning was getting drafted in the 3rd and 4th round in most leagues but in high stakes leagues he was going in round 8! Okay, so the people with a lot of money on the line have more reason to do more research even more so than the “gurus” out there that get paid to give opinion not to be correct. These gurus play it “safe” while occasionally making bold statements for editorial claims and for attention. You have to alo know that many of these “gurus” althoughsomewhat close to teams are guessing. the real experts study tapes.

2) Look at the Vegas odds on players over/under on yardage and TDs. This is a huge clue and can help you get projections

3) Use Madden ith updated rosters to simulate a few seasons.

4) Using this information come up with your own projections too based on things that you know

5) Don’t come up with absolute projections but a range. When you are drafting in the early rounds and you are taking a guy that is near the top or at the top of his position, take tehlower varience guy, the guy that you can protect yourself from in the event of an injury. Jamal Charles is better than everyone else but maybe Lesean McCoy because of his backup, but I believe Arian Foster is a wildcard because I think Ben Tate behind that Oline will emerge if given the chance and not look back. What I mean is, if you draft Adrian Peterson, he can win you your league sure, but he can also lose it. If you are just playing in a 12 team league with no difference in whether you win or crush everyohne, All Day, is not your pick even though I am one of his biggest fans. Strategically the risk of injury although small is dangerous as you probably will not even make the playoffs without him unless you waste a pick early on RBs which is not a terrible idea if you are in a trade favorable league where people are likely to trade and active, but I would much rather take Jamal Charles here and Thomas Jones in the 9th or McCoy in the first and Ronnie Brown around the same area and only have one other runningback spot to fill with no danger other than a single bye week which has no significance on winning the championship at all, and make up for it in all the other picks when I can either get one other durable back or back with good backup (and potentially back him up around the same range), and load up on WRs for all my other picks stack up at WR and not worry as much about getting another back at all, OR I can not even draft a good #2 back, load up at WR and other positions and wait until the range where I backup my lead RB and THAT is where I can take a bunch of HIGH varience guys, guys I think have a lot of upside. By getting say 3 RBs that could be #3 guys but have tremendous upside, one of them will emerge.

6)Try to load up at one position initially, and solve the problem of quality with quantity. This is similar to what is mentioned above. If you get 2 or 3 good backs in first 4 picks, you can load up at WR and get a lot of “higher risk higher reward” type WRs. If you go for best available value early, you make up for it with quantity and finding a sleeper

7)Identify value at RBs based on recognizing those with lots of rushing yards last year, as production at RB is generally a more consistent area than anywhere else. This means players like Benson and BenJarvis Green-Ellis are under rated. RBs that are either rookies or on new teams are candidates as well. Rookie RBs are best if they are selected in top 5 in the NFL draft as it tells you what the teams think of them, and offenses are likely to rebound if they have a worst in the NFL type team the prior year to be better than expected, which gives them more scoring chances. Also, RBs that did well in their opportunities, but didn’t get a lot of opportunities and are young are good candidates for breakouts as well, especially if they are likely to get opportunities based on changes such as cutting/trading/letting go the existing starter or if the existing starter ahead of them is older than 28 or a higher injury risk.

8)Identifying WR breakouts is about a lot of things. 2nd year WRs that did not get a lot of TD/s per reception are good candidates. WRs that have increased role this year are good candidates. 3rd year WRs still breakout after that it’s less probable to find breakouts and you should generally avoid. Also, the 3rd year on a specific offense, particularly offensive scheme or system with the same players seems to be good but 2nd year WRs are often under rated since most people know about the “3rd year breakouts” and the players that are the 4th or 5th year in the league that have settled down 1-2 years ago with the given team and/or offensive system are probably under rated as well. Finally, rookie WRs drafted early in the NFL draft are over rated their rookie year as they have relied on their talent in college and don’t realize they have to learn the offense yet or how steep learning curb is. However, WRs drafted later, either don’t have the pressure and high expectations and also are out to prove people wrong and generally are more likely to be with better teams (Randy Moss 18th overall went to an already #1 offense in the Vikings with Carter and Jake Reed and wasn’t the guy the offense depended on.) The value is in the less touted guys like Greg Little who is on an emerging offense.

9)Good offenses break out together, this is where you can find the breakout QBs and also increase your chances with your other positions where you spot breakouts. 2nd year players in all positions are pretty powerful but 3rd year too in terms of improving on last year’s stats.

10)in later rounds of draft rarely should you draft based on “average projections” but should instead draft by the “upside” of their projections” Unless you completely neglected a certain position, and even so I still might argue otherise) you should go for upside. A player simply isn’t going to find his way on the roster enough to help you win unless he has a breakout year late in the draft. If he fails, and you can tell early he isn’t going to have the chips in place, you can quickly pick up another guy that maybe has potential, and finding an “average” guy for covering during an injury week is not hard just look at matchups.

11) Plan your draft. Plan all scenarios from all situatios to get the players you have ranked highesst. A great way is to use ADP average drafted position and standard deviation ( a mesurement of a “confidence” range of when the players will get picked. You can be 68.5% confident that a guy gets picked within 1 standard deviation, and 95% confident within 2 standard deviations. Your legaue with different rules may mean that data isn’t entirely true but as a guideline it works pretty well. Based on the “odds” the player will be there and the value you give up you hould be able to construct a great draft before you even make the first pick and have a list of backup plans in place

12) start with the end and work the way back and you should be more likely to construct the draft you want from start to finish.

During the year if you want to start the best players you can do madden simulations, also look at vegas odds makers, and the “start em sit em guru.
I would rank vegas stats and weight them so they make up 70% of the value, madden simulation (with updated roster done multiple times) with 20% and the remaining to gurus and possiby previous averages.

The Pirelli brand played a big role in the development of the Diavel, building 240mm rear tires to give the bike a rounded, sports-like design. If the broad wheel does not attract your attention, the huge stacked mufflers certainly wheel. The rear section looks extremely neat thanks to a steel trellis license plate and a truncated tail section.

Although the general public is not sure yet how this bike rides, there are certainly some positive impressions. During the auto show, this bike held everyone captive with its amazing design and spectacular features. What are fungal nail infections?

These are infections caused by a fungus that feeds on the keratin in toenails and fingernails. The infections are also called tinea unguium or Onychomycosis. According to The Great Cloth Diaper Change website this means that 60,000 diapers would have entered landfills in North America during the ONE MINUTE they were changing diapers on the 23rd.

This event also raised money for the Real Diaper Association, a US nonprofit who works to help families find and use reusable cloth diapers.

Each year more and more ‘experts’ scour the databases to come up with relevant and sometimes self serving rankings of the best places to live. One fo the oldest and most common is International Living Magazine. This year there are a few new places that have made the more popular lists and the old stand bys are still there too. Shelter Offshore recently published their top picks for 2001 – Northern Cyprus; Argentina, Panama, Bali, Mexico, Slovenia, and South Africa. Shelter Offshore is out of the UK so it tends to have a bent toward Brittons whereas International Living (I.L.), although based in Ireland has it’s roost in the United States so their lists tend to be more appropriate or at least targeted at an American audience.  I.L. typically publishes their top picks for the best places to retire abroad in the fall so we’ll have to wait a few month for that list.

Although a popular topic and a practise that is becoming more and more frequent the idea of stepping out and retiring in a new land is not to be taken lightly. It’s a very personal and subjective decision. Sure there have always been those ‘adventurous types’ who travel the globe and can set down pretty much anywhere but the retiree of today who is considering a move abroad is quite different.
